Press Release

Promax Imaging Ltd Upper Tean Staffordshire, ST10 4BR

Promax Imaging announces the release of its revolutionary new Plug Valve.

Promax Imaging Ltd is proud to announce the release to the market of its new flagship product the PLUG VALVE which will be available to the market from the end of February 2007.

This tiny, yet perfectly formed device represents a major breakthrough in the re-manufacturing of inkjet cartridges which up to now have been difficult or even impossible to re-manufacture.

Use of the Plug Valve, which costs only a few pence, enables certain inkjet cartridges to be refilled using a simple syringe without needles, and very importantly, WITHOUT VACUUM.

The Plug Valve becomes a permanent fixture to the cartridge, and is designed to be used time and time again. Designed to engineer a solution to Epson’s later design single colour cartridges, the Plug Valve overcomes all the problems associated with refilling these cartridges. Its unique design, which is subject to worldwide patents, enables the remanufacturer to deliver the full OEM fill into the cartridge, whilst expelling the air and priming the cartridge correctly. As it becomes part of the cartridge, the necessity to seal the cartridge is removed, as the Plug Valve acts as a permanent seal.

Remanufacturing genuine Epson OEM empties using the Plug Valve produces a top quality product CHEAPER THAN A COMPATIBLE using low cost genuine Epson empties and avoids any nasty legal problems over patent and copyright issues.

For the High Street cartridge shops the Plug Valve represents a massive breakthrough in customer service opportunities, whilst lowering costs significantly. No longer will they have to sell their customer a compatible cartridge as it is possible to successfully refill the customers’ original cartridge in a few seconds.

Inventor of the Plug Valve, Promax Imaging’s Managing Director Chris Brooks said today, “I originally called this amazing little device the Epson Plug Valve. At the time I designed it, I had only been researching the problems with Epson cartridges. However, I soon discovered that it also answered the refilling problems inherent in many other inkjet cartridges. The Plug Valve has been successfully used in HP cartridges, overcoming problems with defective maze holes and leaking ball seats. Canon inkjet cartridges are also made easier to refill by overcoming the sealing problems. As the versatility of the Plug Valve as a general problem solver became apparent, I decided that Plug Valve was a better name being more universal.”

Brooks went on to say “Research started on this project almost two years ago, and although the Plug Valve had been designed and tested in its current format shortly afterwards, on our patent attorneys advice we were unable to release the Plug Valve until all necessary submissions had been completed for the Worldwide Patents. I would like to apologise to the industry for this albeit necessary delay in making the Plug Valve available, but IP has to be protected. To all those farsighted remanufacturers out there who have been hoarding all their Epson OEM empties, WELL DONE….the time has arrived to hit back. The Plug Valve is an ideal addition to refill kits, and I expect it to be the industry standard part in Epson single colour refill kits in future.”

At this time detailed instructions on use of the Plug Valve and its applications are being prepared. These instructions will be posted on the Professor Promax website, together with detailed refilling instructions.
